Birdman goes off on the Breakfast Club

This morning things got heated at the Breakfast Club. Baby “Birdman” appeared incensed, and began barking at the three Breakfast Club hosts before he even sat down to be interviewed, telling them to “stop playing with his name.” When he finally sat down, Charlamagne Tha God began asking Birdman what the beef was about, and Baby became more agitated, and engaged in a brief back-and-forth with Charlamagne before deciding that the interview was over. He quickly stalked out of the room with his entourage, and that was that.

The Cash Money boss visited The Breakfast Club this morning (April 22) in what quickly became the shortest interview in show history. Below is a transcript of his exchange with Charlamagne.

He done cursed us out, get it off your chest, Birdman.

I said it already, I ain’t gotta talk no more.

Cause I don’t understand the angle.

I said it already.

So why come here?

I did it already. I’m here. So what’s happening?

I wanted to see you. I wanted to talk you as a man to your face. I knew a few places you was at, I could’ve pulled up, but I thought that was gangsta. I wanted to come look you in your face like a man and tell you how I feel.

So what’s the issue?

Ain’t no issue. If it was an issue, you would feel me. I just came to let y’all know, put some respect on my name. When y’all say my name, put some respect on it.

Did you pull up on Ross that way? Or Trick Daddy?

Man, I’m pullin’ up on you, nigga.

But I’m the radio guy. Why pull up on the radio guy? Don’t act tough with the radio guy?

I hear you, my nigga. Y’all finished or y’all done? I ain’t got no more talkin’. Let’s rock.

Well, grand opening, grand closing.

Music Icon Prince Dead at 57

Music Icon Prince Dead at 57

Music Icon, Prince, has died. He was found dead Thursday morning at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minn. It was in that very studio that he created most of his iconic music. Sheriff's officials in Minnesota say deputies found music superstar Prince unresponsive in an elevator after they were summoned to his suburban Minneapolis compound. Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson says first responders tried CPR but couldn't revive the 57-year-old musician. Olson says Prince was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m. Thursday, about half an hour after deputies arrived. Medical examiners have received Prince's body and plan to perform an autopsy Friday. Last week, Prince had to be taken to a hospital after his flight home from Atlanta made an emergency landing in Moline, Ill. A representative said the singer had been fighting the flu for several weeks.

A statement from President Barack Obama read in part: "Today, the world lost a creative icon. Michelle and I join millions of fans from around the world in mourning the sudden death of Prince.

"'A strong spirit transcends rules,' Prince once said -- and nobody's spirit was stronger, bolder, or more creative."‎

"The world has lost a great person. Not just the world of music but the world of man," musician George Clinton said. "It is a personal time of sadness for he was a close and dear friend. We stand with his family and fans alike in mourning this loss. "

His hits included "Soft and Wet," "I Wanna Be Your Lover," "Controversy," "Delirious," "Little Red Corvette," "When Doves Cry," "Purple Rain," "Raspberry Beret," "Pop Life." "1999," "Sign 'O' the Times," "I Would Die 4 U," "Kiss," "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" and countless others.

He also gave a leg-up to other musicians such as Sheila E. He also wrote for other performers, including Sheena Easton (Sugar Walls) and the Bangles (Manic Monday).

Fans camped out by Paisley Park, the artist's home and recording studio, leaving bouquets of flowers and signs at a makeshift memorial.

Prince won seven Grammy Awards and earned 30 nominations. Five of his singles topped the charts and 14 other songs hit the Top 10. He won an Oscar for best original song score for "Purple Rain."Music Icon Prince Dead at 57
