Back in 2014 when video footage showed Solange having a full beat down on Jay Z while Beyoncé stepped aside and watched on in an elevator‚ everybody began speculating on what caused the fight.
At the time‚ international tabloids hinted that it had to do with Rachel Roy‚ a fashion designer and ex-wife to Jay Z’s former partner Damon Dash.
So‚ when B aired her HBO special‚ Lemonade‚ one of the songs that got the most attention was Apathy. The song starts off by immediately alluding to Jay’s cheating ways with the following lyrics.
“So what are you gonna say at my funeral now that you’ve killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head. Here lies the mother of my children both living and dead. Rest in peace my true love‚ who I took for granted. Most bomb p**sy‚ who because of me sleep evaded. Her shroud is loneliness‚ her god was listening. Her heaven will be a love without betrayal. Ashes to ashes‚ dust to side chicks.”
She’s later joined by beautiful woman before dropping another hint in the song Sorry about her man’s roving eye. “He better call Becky with the good hair.”
Just hours after Lemonade premiered‚ fashion designer and Jay's ex-business partner's wife, Rachel Roy posted an Instagram post which many say is an admission on her part. “Good hair don’t care‚ but we will take good lighting‚ for selfies‚ or self truths‚ always. live in the light #nodramaqueens.”
Rachel soon made her Instagram account private after getting massive backlash on social media.
